Anyone going to be playing in Bowling Green, KY, tonight?

I got to BWW Bowling Green tonight and I played a game by my lonesome, save for my alter-ego, IVY. The table behind me beat me handily at Countdown, so I approached them and asked if they were staying for Showdown.

They were, and one of them spent half the year in Chicago and knew my Teasers crew. I joined their table of three college professors, a manufacturing executive, and a retired attorney.

I was the only one who knew what a contronym was.

A question actually had a choice of "ecdysiast," a term I'd learned from scaratings.com this week.

We got 20th and I got 23rd individually.

Awesome night.

Does this mean that Teaser's is planning to colonize the state of Kentucky?

The ghost of Cloudy rules Kentucky! Some of my best traveling memories are with the crew at TGIF Louisville, including our moderator himself.

I see Jonesy was there. I believe he played there a night years back on the "Twisted Sisters Tour", though he didn't play with us visiting heathens.

That was 2007. You can see a few of the heathens :

Jonesy was there. Sorry, I didn't even think to ask about you. When I told them I was from Chicago they all pointed at Binkly, so I mainly conversed with him. Jonesy was also playing Becca's board, there was a Murphy who was from England or some such and another Biology professor who didn't have a board. I don't remember his name, but I know he specialized in Botany and I believe he was from Louisiana.

(And we didn't even get all of the plant questions.)

Very nice group. Invited me back any Tuesday during the school year because otherwise they are off on adventures. Mainly in the Caribbean. (We did get all of those questions.)

In an interesting twist of fate, I went to our newest site The Grille at Legacy Park on Sunday to find Jonesy from Bowling Green had played 8 games of CD the day before. Some good scores.
