New Scaratings

I'll be staying in Crystal City/Arlington for three nights during the first week of June. I see that Kilroy's in Springfield (a 20-25 minute drive from my hotel) is a fairly active and high-scoring site. IIRC, this is where the team that formerly played at BWW-Crystal City relocated.

Has anyone here played there?

I’ve played there many times over the decades. Decent older place with good prices. Kilroys and Revolution Springfield are pretty much your only choices for that VA area.

Kilroys will likely have more players through out happy hour and evening while Revolution can be more happy hour. But it all depends on the night of the week.

As for the Grand Slam/BWW crew, they were forced to play there on Tues but not since BC (before covid). The Kilroys regulars will play team if you ask. Earl and Turtle are good people to talk to. I would go there before Revolution Springfield. There is also another Revolution on Lee Highway but don’t bother it’s terrible.

I did indeed make it to Kilroy’s tonight, and had a great meal (delicious pork chops!) and a fun night of trivia and conversation.

Glad the trip to Kilroys went well. Congrats on the 18th place in SIX but the team player in me wants to know. it seems y’all only had 4 boxes going? No one wanted to grab another or a phone for 5 scores? Would have been 6th and beaten all the Ohio bars.

I know Turtle has multiple handles including FTRUMP, maybe he was hesitant to use that one in front of visitors from OH?

We were playing pretty casually, so I didn't really even think to grab a fifth box (I was also eating/drinking quite a bit). If I had known how well we were going to do, I would've probably acted differently.

FTRUMP is in retirement.

And I hope to take you up on your offer, BUD - I am going to try to visit the D.C. area again in December. Seeing that Stained Glass is right off the Metro line is an incentive.
