Hello fellow Buzztime players!
I play as SHUSHU at the BWW in South Portland, ME and have for a couple years or so. I used to pay in the late 90's at The Ground Round across town until it closed. I didn't play for many years (I don't think there was a location here) so not a "legacy" player.

I had a couple of questions and some I've answered myself in finding this forum.

One of my local locations is closing and I am super bummed. They had the old style playmakers and I'd go on Saturday nights for speed freaks and ask it already but no more.

It doesn't look like there's a lot of activity going on here but hopefully there are a few people around to chat with.

Great to meet you all!

SHUSHU

Welcome SHU SHU. Glad you found Scar, there is a host of good BT info on here, just read through all the older topics.
There is plenty of activity on here, just not in the Newbie forum because we don't get many newbies.
Click on "view active topics" at the top left to see the good stuff.

So welcome newbie and don't be alarmed by any negative comments that may appear.

Speaking of Maine, I've played BT in Bangor, Bar Harbor and Belfast, at 3 pretty cool bars for BT, in the summer at least.

Does "ruggedly authentic" = "hillbilly"?

And welcome, SHU. My first attempt at replying didn't post. Blaming BUD for that :)

Yay people!

Hi Bud

I think I've only been to Bangor a couple times but I might make a point of going up to check out BT bars. I've tried everything in So. Maine but one place closed, another is closing but two (Binga's Wingas and Binga's Stadium) opened.
I'm 2 hours away from Bangor so I'd probably drive south and hit Boston instead. I'm going to try to review all of the places I've played BT.

Great to meet you all.

Maine can be ruggedly authentic at times too.

The good - glad you're here, glad you enjoy BT. It is a cool way to pass the time.

The bad - you've been here a day and now started 7 threads. I'm not sure that's appropriate for anybody.

The general rule of message boards is that you peruse what is already there, comment in some threads already started, and of course introduce yourself (which you did). Have you commented yet in any thread not started by you?

There are several people on this board that would have to start over 500 threads if they did this.

But of course Scar and Dante make the rules here, so whatever they say goes.

Greetings. Yeah isn't any talk with regards to civilization in Maine implying southern Maine from the start?

Welcome Shushu! Hopefully things will pick up in the Maine area. I'm down here in Orlando and even here I've noticed a decrease in locations to play at. A new one will pop up and 6 months later it's gone didn't take. Keep on playing and put the bug in bars that you frequent to get BT. Warzne.

Hello and welcome neighbor!
Glad to hear that there are still a few active places in Maine. Compared to the four Atlantic Provinces with only one site in total, Maine sounds like NTN heaven! When we make an enquiry about the closest sites, the Maine ones are the only ones other than Lower Deck to come up. Come to Halifax for a visit some time.
