Hi All,
My name is Jerry and my wife (Ruth) & I play in Pinellas county florida, usually at Varsity Club on East Lake road.
I play as jinri and my wife plays as tootie. We have been playing a few years now, a couple time a week
We almost exclusively play Countdown, as I am retired and my wife still works , so we go right after she finishes and the bar is only 5 minutes away
We are lucky here (liljol, look away) that we have about 15 places to play within 15 miles Ok, its safe to look again
although we like to stay close to home if we will be sitting there a few hours
We play more for the social aspect of the game rather than the competitiveness, we share answers to anyone around and always applaud the game winner (and again if it is high on the local or national board) There is a place nearby Fat Cat Tavern that on Wed. pays the game winner $5 if there are 5 players, $10 if there are 10 and $15 for 15 players , they get between 10 -15 players for those games
We havent gone as its about 1/2 hour ride with little traffic , the games would just about be over
