I have noticed a plethora of music related questions in the few games I have played LTT this week. Anyone else notice the trend? I'm not complaining, in fact I like it being a music junkie. 8-)

This is great for this music maniac.....if they have 3 music questions in one game, that would be sweet.

I played again today, and the same theme. 3 or 4 music related questions in each game.

I have noticed this trend as well and it is one of my strengths so I'm not complaining especially when itcomes to classic rock and any punk rock. My wife STIGMA is especially good at this when it comes to obscure music from the 70s and 80s.

Playback was always my favorite premium game. But lately I find most of the current music genres crap and I don't know them. So usually a low score in the end. I remember one year they had the Rolling Stones as the topic and that's my life right there! I think I messed up on final points vote and ended up with a disappointing finish!

Excessive music questions and other crap drove me from Lunchtime several years ago. Previously, I had played the game very heavily.

NNow I know to stay away until the Buzzies come to their snses.

Apologies to those who like music questions.

I like music questions that I know the answers to.

While playing Countdown after work on Thursday night, I noticed a boat load of music questions, mostly rock so they went in my favor but I still played horribly! Seems like my trend lately, getting hammered on really obscure out of my wheelhouse questions. What can you do?

Well, hell. Seems like there were more than a few music questions in just about every Countdown game this past Playback Saturday. Image

All things considered, I fail to understand what some others here delude themselves into thinking they accomplish by whining about game content. Some years ago, I was shooting the breeze with some other players and this came up. One of them came up with this beauty...

"If others don't like the questions, they can go find themselves some deep pockets and do their own NTN!" :o

To which my answer was "They'll need all the luck they can find!"

I've noticed this also. I only play Mondays and Tuesday's, but it has been my impression for some time that Monday's tended to have more pop culture questions, including pop music. Still, it seems to have accelerated, to my uncertain advantage (great on rock/classic new wave; all right on classical/oldies/show tunes/country, horrific on pop/disco/AUC/hip hop/recent). As noted elsewhere, the incidence of sports questions also seems to have increased, definitely to my advantage.
