Fletcher's Pub in Kalamazoo drops NTN as of October 1st

Well, it was 12 pretty good years. Word came just before we left that the ownership group in charge of Fletcher's as well
as 8-9 other restaurants in SW Michigan have decided it was not feasible to continue offering the NTN service.

I was slightly surprised, of course, but I was more surprised they didn't get rid of it sooner. Attendance on Tuesday nights has dropped steadily for years, and while Saturday has normally been fairly steady there have been weeks when only a few folks showed up. Oh well, I don't think we made it to 300 premium game wins but we did try. If we continue with the week to week thing, it'll likely be at either BW3 Kalamazoo or Brewster's Pub ( and I hear they may give up the game, too ).

i hate to see this. i guess eventually we will all have to play at bw3.

For the purposes of the tournament, just let me know in advance where you will be playing each week, and I'll make sure to count the scores from whatever location you use.

That's sad news. I joined their great Tuesday night team a few years ago. It was a fun night.

We just got new ownership too so we're greatly fearing the same thing will happen our way as well

I fondly remember my visit to Fletcher's, way back in June 2008. A great and warmly welcoming group!
