Not a huge deal in itself, but yet another occurrence of system manipulation. Hell, he probably chuckles at us for digging all this info up!

Cloudy, I for one am glad you had a good time there, and I hope you have many more fun experiences playing trivia at "30 Red", even if I never get a chance to go there myself. (It's only 900 miles away!) May any future conversations on this thread stay on topic and just mention the bar, its atmosphere, its food, etc.

I completely agree with Cloudy's last post on this thread. It's a thread to describe the bar and its atmosphere. If you're going to start bashing other trivia players, in my opinion, you should voice those comments elsewhere. They are off-topic on this thread, and frankly ought to be against forum rules if they aren't already.

Never a good sign when you have to ask for the trivia to be put on a TV.

About as smart as a restaurant with no menus.

I will say this about 30Red.

Tonight was a very big game for U of Lou. They played a great game against Duke. I am praying for the player that had a leg injury.

When Cloudy, my wife and I showed up at 30Red at 3:30pm, an hour and a half before the game started, there were NO customers. As the first and only three at the bar, we requested that a corner TV be put on Buzztime. The bartender said okay, as long as no one who might show up complained. I said no problem....if someone wanted that TV changed to the game, while the TV next to it was ALREADY set for the game was left alone, I'm okay.

Cloudy and I set an 11, 5 and 1 in the nation while waiting for the UL game. when we hit 1, the whole bar congradulated us.

Now, dispite the fact that the rest of the evening centered around a Very important game for UL, 30Red left ONE TV on Buzztime. Ever go to a bar that changes all their TVs to the same game? Not here. They were nice enough to leave one TV on Buzztime for me and Cloudy. Yea, we didn't play much after the UL game started, but nice to know that there is one bar that doesn't put every TV on the same channel when a game is on, and drown out Buzztime.

So the thread diverged based upon circumstances related to observations at the site in question. I don't think it was a big deal.

Plus, at least we were all posting about buzztime trivia.

Try playing trivia at a bar or restaurant on the first Sunday in February when a little football game called the Super Bowl is on. Good luck!!

Was Buzztime was on a tv before the game ...funny no tv has it way 3-4 hours before.

No I am not one of you snobby elitist trivia players who hacked the system. I was just having a little fun with FSHMAN while he tried to figure out how this was happening. (It drove him crazy...btw). The fun had no impact on ANYTHING any of you guys in this thread are talking about. It had NO IMPACT on your precious National Bar RANKINGS or your tournament trivia contests. All you did was trash a guy who 'WAS' to some of you...a friend. This is such petty BS to call a guy names when you DON'T KNOW HIM and you've never played trivia with him. FSHMAN is one of the most decent people I have ever met in my lifetime. I consider him a BEST friend. He has served this country proudly, he treats people like HE wants to be treated and has more class in his little toe than you MORONS trashing him on here. Anytime you trivia elitists in this thread want to play heads up with FSHMAN, bring your money, I'll back him for any amount you can carry on an airplane or load in your trunk. It is good though, Scar and Cloudy, that you guys have enough class not to trash someone that considers you 'his' good friend, but i'm not surprised at all by this. You both are good peeps.
