No, this is not an obituary. I have good news for a change.

WANYE from the Golden Horde, a group of local players who are all registered at BWW-MOA for the purpose of aggregating their gold medals, had been persistently complaining to the general manager of Drkula's, a local bowling center, that hardly any of their fifteen playmakers would hold a charge.

This past week, a Buzztime tech appeared at Drak's and replaced all three cradles, and brought along fifteen brand new playmakers. No fee.

Somewhere ANON had posted that Buzztime *might* in the future be billing its customers for the replacement of faulty equipment. That was several months ago. Thus far, this has not been an issue at any of the three independent businesses which I frequent and where equipment has since been replaced.

That seems to be the blue playmakers?

BT is definitely not charging to replace those when they go bad. However it seems BT has started making BWW send bad 3rd Gen tablets to a 3rd party refurbisher for replacements and they are billing BWW stores individually. It's not cheap, many stores are just not going to do the replacements.

Dave,you still provided good news.They now have 15 new boards.This place is trivia friendly,has very good prices and very good food.Myself,I prefer the newer model boards because there is more variety and if buzztime is not on a screen when one arrives a person does not have to have it on a screen to play.
