Well. hell. THE ICEMAN got the location of the most recent addition to The University of California system - the Merced campus was founded 2005. Their mascot is a Golden Bobcat.

Take it away, ICEMAN. 8-)

This President took office in the 1800s & still has living grandchildren. Who is it?

Start with the one in office in 1899: William McKinley.

Yep. Tyler took office in 1841 & his last grandchild was born in 1928.

The small flightless bird is up next.

Just a stab in the dark, but the Marianas Trench is the bottommost (deepest) part of the earths oceans.

In other words, I have no freaking idea! You alluded to a dash in your last post; does that mean that hyphens are part of the real answer?

BOTTOMMOST: tiefly's scores during Solofests. Origin from BOTfly, the lowest of the low.
Sentence usage: Thank's to BOTFLY drinking MOST of the shine, tiefly finished BOTTOMMOST in the last Solofest.

I have no idea on this. Unless there are others who would like to give this question a try (and why haven't they done so by now?), I think pengwn should either give out another hint or ask a new question.

Samuel Morse would be morose if he ever read this thread

So if there are 15 consecutine dashes to a telegram, it is either part of the word "bottommost" or the message is garbled. ;) The codes for M, O, and T are nothing but dashes.

So, I guess the record would be either
(1) most consecutive dashes within a single word [15], or
(2) most consecutive "dashes-only" letters in a word [7].

Got it! Bottommost contains 15 consecutive dashes

-••• --- - - --- -- -- --- ••• -

It also happens to be a Morse palindrome. Ignoring spaces, of course. Your go, Zog!

Who is the most recent US President to have a county named for him? In which state is this county?

Time's up!

The most recent US President to have a county named for him is Warren G. Harding, and that county is Harding County in New Mexico. (There is also a Harding County in South Dakota but it's not named for the former President.)

Since nobody attempted to answer the last question, this thread is open to anyone with another trivia question.

I'll throw this one out there...

What trivia question was the subject of a lawsuit that was appealed to the US Supreme Court?

Heh, heh... Kinda doubtful. The whole idea of tiefly or BOTFLY being able to afford the attorney's fees is a bit dubious.

I have no idea, but from this clue I'm guessing it has something to do with Columbo--maybe the fact that no one knew what his first name was? I'm not sure how that gets to the Supreme Court, though.

If this is right and anyone gets it after this, I will only take credit for an assist.
