There's a question about the Ton Ton Macoutes where the factoid mentions Francois Duvalier and his first name is misspelled "Francios".

You got it! It has been fixed along with another question that had Francios Mitterand.

It's a bloody pandemic!
Did you make sure to get the one that mentions Francios Franco is still dead?

On the Tuned In question about Peter Griffin, the answer was Fisherman. IIRC correctly, Peter was a fisherman for about two episodes in almost ten full seasons. Better answers would be safety inspector or shipping clerk. Hell, I think some of the "one off" joke jobs he's had have lasted as long as the fisherman bit.

Agreed. That's a bad question. :(

Yeah, I had no idea what to pick on that one. I remembered that one episode where they all went fishing to try to collect big reward money...but I didn't consider that a job, per se.

Well, FWIW, another edition of liljol's lil nitpicks, for games from Tuesday, 8/30/2011...

2:15 P.M., Q9 - Question asked for the song that was a hit for both Dionne Warwick and Aretha Franklin. The correct choice showed as "SAY A LITTLE PRAYER"; both The Whitburn and Wiki show this song as "I Say A Little Prayer". :(

4:00 P.M., Q1 - Question asked for an explorer of the West. The correct choice should have been Jedediah Smith, but it showed as "JEDIDIAH SMITH".

There was a Count Down question today about the largest country in Africa. The answer was Sudan. Templr and I were wondering if that was still true because of the creation of South Sudan. One web site I looked at said Algeria was now the biggest country in Africa.

According to my recent lil peeks into Wiki, Algeria is now the largest country in area in Africa. Looks like TomD or someone else has a lil updating to do. :(

This irks me no end. I saw this coming several months ago and got rid of about a dozen questions that had Sudan as the largest country in Africa. Unfortunately, at least one slipped through. The one I just found had Sudan in the question and the answer was "largest." Was that the one you saw?

Yes it was. Last night almost every game had a question on Sudan including 1 in Six about the newest UN member being South Sudan.

The question was something along the lines of what is true about Sudan. The answer was that it was the largest country in Africa.

I hope that you corrected them to "François". "Francois" would sound really funny. (Use alt 135 if you have an American keyboard).

Sorry, the English version of our questions doesn't allow any of those weird characters above or below the letters. :)

Well, here we go, again (for games of 9/6/2011)...

Q1 (?), Glory Daze - Question asked which of five actors back in the day was in the stage version of "The Odd Couple". Among the choices, JACK LEMON.

Q5, BrainBuster - Question was on the octal system. Factoid said something like "THE OCTAL SYSTEM INCLUDES NUMBERS FROM ZERO TO ZEVEN." :(

Well, for this Tuesday, 9/13/2011, my increasingly decrepit, fragile lil mind saw only one bungled factoid... :o

Q12, Glory Daze, asked something like "WHICH MAJOR EVENT IN ELVIS' LIFE HAPPENED IN 1973?" Answer was his divorce from Priscilla. However, the factoid said something like "ELVIS MUST HAVE RISEN FROM HIS GRAVE WHEN PRISCILLA MARRIED MICHAEL JACKSON." :(

IIRC it was their daughter, Lisa Marie, that was briefly married to M.J.

C'mon, Joel. It's a joke. A bungled joke, but a joke none the less. I've rewritten it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Hey, how come none of you other people notice these things??? :)

Another off-kilter factoid near the end of Immortal Words tonight, at least as I remember it

The Mad-Eye Moody "stroll during the night" question went on to say that the Goblet of Fire movie was released in 2000. Nope, that's the release year of the book. The film came out in . . . *squints at the back of the DVD case* . . . 2005

Ten points from Buzzindor!

Has anyone flown in that 80 story tall plane Airbus has built? I was wearing the Chrysler Building as a hat and didn't really have to duck to get through the doorways.
