We have are thousands upon thousands of questions written for Canadians and occasionally some of them filter over the border.
You may now commence with the immigration jokes.

Countdown, 6:00 PM Pacific, Q3 -

This question has ALEXANDER THE GREAT as its answer. However, one of the other choices is XERXES THE GREAT and the third clue includes "THE GREAT". :(

Well, at least we narrowed it down to two choices. It's up to you to figure it out after that. :)

Tonight's Spotlight 7 PM PST

In the THINK AGAIN round, there was a question where the clue was "ROXANNE" (previous clue was "THE POLICE" -referring to the song). The answer was "STEVE MARTIN" (he starred in the movie: Roxanne.) However, another answer was "EDDIE MURPHY" who, in a memorable scene in 48 Hrs, sang part of the song: Roxanne. IMO that could also be a correct answer. (which I went with, mostly because I thought of that scene as soon as I saw the title)
Of course, the writer could argue that his answer is "more correct" based on some criteria.
In that case, it would be nice to know what that criteria is.

Lunchtime Trivia, 11:15 AM Pacific, Q6 - factoid closed something like "WRITING THE FORWARD". Methinks that should have been instead "FOREWORD".

I will inform the Spotlight editor about this. I'm sure they had no idea the Eddie Murphy sang Roxanne in 48 Hrs. Too much knowledge can be a bad thing! :)

Encore question Playback said I Am _______

It was supposed to say "I Am A __________"

We were going to pick the right answer, but it made no sense without the A so we picked a different answer.

Hey TD,
Could you check the database for a John Wesley Powell question?
The answer was "translating Indian languages".
To my knowledge, Powell had never been to India in his life.
Just sayin'...

Native-American Languages has too many letters, so Indian will have to do. After all, Powell did write an 1880 book titled "Introduction to the Study of Indian Languages."

I figured the length of "native American" was the problem. I just wanted to be a trouble maker.
Well, since we're in agreement that racial insensitivity in titles of literature from bygone eras is the way to go, I eagerly anticipate a question about Christie's Ten Little Indians using its rather inglorious original title... :o  :P

Countdown, 4:30 P.M., Q12 - Question was about which President was first to throw out the first ball of the MLB season (William Howard Taft). However, the factoid started "WE'VE BELIEVE..."

My turn to whine :) . Last night (the 12th) during Late Shift, a question asked which is a trademark of Otto's appearance on the Simpsons

The desired answer was Music Headphones, which is certainly correct, but Otto has also been depicted with Tattoos, one of the wrong answers

*Comic Book Guy voice*
In episode 8F18, "A Streetcar Named Marge," when Llewellyn Sinclair is assessing the men for the role of Stanley, we see Otto's tattoo of a flaming freak with distended eyeballs, and a disgusting mental picture when he mentions we should see the one on his butt. Worst. Question. Ever! :ugeek:

Once again, too much knowledge is a bad thing. I have changed tattoos to devout catholicism.

That choice won't work either. In episode 13F11, "Pop Goes the Pope", Otto confesses to Mr. Skinner that he needed the extra time off to make a pilgramage to the Vatican in pursuit of his lifetime goal of being the "Popemobile" driver. He explained that it was only his love of driving that prevented him from joining the clergy when he was younger. I think that was the episode - either that or I'm full of shit.

Geez...that does it. I'm just trashing the damn thing.

I' m going to take this opportunity to say goodbye to Scaratings for a while. I've been trying to cut down on my work load and now is as good a time as any to call it quits. :(

Hells bells. From what I (and likely others) have seen, you're the only NTN Buzztime employee that pays us players even a lil attention. :)

<--certainly, not whomever may be tasked to try to monitor not only Facebook, but also Customer Care...

Buzztime management decisions seem to be aiding in trying to reduce your workload as well.

During the 12/8 edition of "The Season", one of the questions was: Which of these teams has *NOT* lost two consecutive games this season? The correct answer was the Indianapolis Colts, but the Green Bay Packers was also a choice and would also be a correct answer.

Since I am a Packer fan/owner, I encouraged everyone to select the Packers as the answer (I honestly didn't know the Colts was also correct). Either we all read the question wrong or there were two correct answers. Can anyone clarify or elaborate what happened on this question? Thanks!
