I wish I could... There was a day, a long time ago, when I could have run in the Flying Pig Marathon, and probably finished fairly well. Sadly, that day is long gone for me. I'm old now, and have a right leg that screams in pain, if I walk too far. I'm hoping the VA Hospital in Louisville can fix it, but if they can't, I'll probably be getting one of these:

The above was true, but now for a baseless lie.

TEVERETT once ran in the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati, and was right up there with the leaders until about the 20 mile mark, when she saw a Macy's billboard sign advertising "50% off on women's clothing, today only!" The Macy's store was only a short distance off the marathon course, so she decided to make a little detour to check the sale out. She picked up some great clothes at bargain prices, but after returning to the course, she realized that there was no way she could run the last six miles carrying all of those shopping bags with her. After about a half mile, she dropped out, and called a taxi on her cell phone to take her home, where she watched the rest of the race on her TV.

It looks like TEVERETT isn't going to respond, so I'll make another baseless lie up about someone else that I really like.

We've been missing ICEMAN's posts on the "ScaRatings" for a while now, and I know why.

ICEMAN has joined a George Adamski cult, and spends most of his time in the desert waiting for George to come down in a spacecraft to take him and the rest of the followers to visit other planets. ICEMAN now lives most of the time in a pup tent with just the very basics of life. Obviously, he can't have cell phone or Internet connections, because there is the risk that the electromagnetic impulses they send out might prevent Adamski's spacecraft from making a safe landing near their tent commune.

Image

"ICEMAN, this is your friend, George, keep the faith. I soon will come and take you to places you never dreamed of."

"Cloudy" is living under an alias. His real name is Dr. J. Allen Hynek.

ICEMAN, you were close, but no cigar. I was actually an advisor to Captain Ruppelt, and suggested that we should change the name of our investigations from Project Grudge to Project Blue Book. Hynek was just out for money, and when his debunking days with the Air Force appeared to be over, he went over to the other side, and wrote books that suggested that UFO's might really be visiting us. Hynek is about half a step above Erich von Däniken, when it comes to making up nonsense about extraterrestrial visitations.

However, George Adamski might be telling the truth, and if you can hang in there, living in your pup tent in the desert, wonderful things may be headed your way, when he lowers the ramp to his spacecraft, and welcomes you on board. ICEMAN, when that day comes, I wish I could be there with you, as you take off on adventures that are beyond mortal man's comprehension.

TEVERETT, just in case I can't make it, I'm putting you in charge of making the mint juleps for everyone, if I'm not there. Because I'm concerned that you have never had one, and are likely to have no idea how to mix one up, I'm giving you this link, which should be of assistance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiWOzS_A4r0

Oh, I almost forgot... Here's a baseless lie about TEVERETT.

TEVERETT has never gone to the Kentucky Derby because she is very devout, and heard that people, who go to it, gamble and drink alcohol. If that wasn't enough to keep her away, she once saw a video of carousing in the infield with Derby revelers running around naked.

Cloudy was also seen streaking at Churchill Downs. I also heard Cloudy will be playing the call to post this year at the Derby.

I will not divulge the name of my source, but I heard that TEVERETT will not be watching the Kentucky Derby on her TV this coming Saturday. I was told that she will be watching reruns of her favorite soap operas instead.

I think this is one that she will be watching:

Cloudy's meal tonight was a nice grilled filet of duck billed platypus sautéed in lark's vomit, with a side of pickled moose nose. For dessert he enjoyed booger pudding with phlegm sauce.
Such a gourmet, who knew?

Yep, ICEMAN is kind of right. I did buy it, and he should know, because it came from his ICEMAN's Deli. There was a big sign out front of his place, that said, "Are you tired of McDonald's Big Mac's? Come on in and pick up the ICEMAN Deli Take-out Surprise Dinner!"

I thought, why not? So I went in and ordered it. I should have known something was wrong, when the gal behind the counter tossed a thick plastic bag, sealed tightly with duct tape, at me and disappeared back into the kitchen.

When I opened the bag once I got home with it, I nearly gagged. One whiff of the stuff was all it took, and I spent the next half hour holding my nose with one hand, while the other shoved the crap down the garbage disposal.

Yeah, I bought it from ICEMAN, but I sure as Hell didn't eat it. After burning the bag that it came in and washing my hands with disinfectant, I drove on out to the closest McDonald's, and bought two Big Macs.

p.s. That is all true.

Now for a baseless lie about ICEMAN. I've heard that government officials are investigating ICEMAN for possibly killing endangered species to serve to customers at his deli.

It's been way too long again, without someone posting a baseless lie about someone else. So I will risk the possibility that by breaking ICEMAN's rules I will find myself locked up behind bars once again, and post a baseless lie about someone out of order. (Not to worry, ICEMAN always locks those, who violate his rules, inside really good bars that have gorgeous barmaids and Buzztime trivia.)

Here goes...

YODA chose his trivia handle after winning first place in a national "Star Wars" Yoda lookalike costume contest, some years ago. However, YODA should have been disqualified. Why...? HE WASN'T WEARING A COSTUME...!

That would be only if Moosarella walks out on her kinky Memorial Day weekend extravaganza with ICEMAN, because he wasn't the fun guy he told her he was. I told Moosarella that if things didn't go well with ICEMAN, I would unleash her from the chains, treat her with ointment for the whip lashes, and get her back to the forest, where she could run free again. I guess you could call that a date, but I think that would be a stretch.

I shouldn't jump in here. I should have left it open for ICEMAN to respond to TEVERETT. However, any time I can get a shot at posting a baseless lie about TEVERETT, I'm gonna take it.

TEVERETT never went to public schools beyond the 5th grade. As a homeless orphan, living under a highway overpass, she spent a lot of time at the Cincinnati library trying to keep warm in the winter. She studied all of the law books the library had, and discovered that she could adopt herself. So she did. She also found out that once she was her own custodian, she could apply for home schooling, which she did. For a while, she home schooled herself by watching TV. As the years rolled by, and "Sesame Street" and "Mr. Rogers" no longer had anything new to offer, TEVERETT decided to move on to something new for her home schooling. Though under age, one day she sat down at a Buzztime trivia bar, and started to play the game. She learned a lot on Buzztime, and after a few years she went back and took the GED exam. TEVERETT aced the test, and has one of the few perfect scores on the GED.

While vacationing in Salem one year, Cloudy's great great great great grandmother was found to have a supernumerary nipple & was consequently burned at the stake for being a witch.

ICEMAN throws his burnt out CFL light bulbs into his garbage, even though he knows that they are loaded with poisonous mercury that will harm the environment, when they get dumped into a landfill.

Oddly enough, he also contributes hundreds of dollars every year to the "Save Our Landfills" non-profit fund, because they send him pretty calendars of landfills turned into beautiful gardens, with paths filled with cute children walking along and sniffing the flowers.

This is the picture of the month of May page from one of ICEMAN's calendars:

Here's what the landfill full of poisonous mercury laden CFL light bulbs really looks like:

TEVERETT has never posted to the "What Book are You Reading ?" thread, but give her time. She's working her way through "Green Eggs and Ham", and in about a month or two, I'm sure she will finally make her first post to that thread.

Cloudy convinced me to give up my Bunny tail in exchange for a blue box. Too bad there wasn't a diamond ring in it, but makes lots of noises when I press buttons.

TEVERETT loves to press buttons, we all know it, and it looks like the World now knows it also.

The President of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Il-Sung, has invited TEVERETT to visit his county to press a few buttons at a special ceremony. If you decide to go, be careful kid. There is a possibility that one of those buttons launches North Korea's nuclear tipped ICBM's, and Kim Il-Sung is looking for an American patsy to be responsible for starting WW-III.

.................................... Image

........... "Very good, TEVERETT, you have pressed all of the buttons except the big red one in the middle. Go ahead and hit it kid, for a big surprise...!

He came up with the name after a bad experience on a roller coaster.
