Here are some kids' shows from the 1950's that are gone:

"The Merry Mailman" (1950-1956) starring Ray Heatherton was pretty good when I was 5 or 6 years old.
I couldn't find any actual video of the show, but I did uncover this:

"Rootie Kazootie" (1950-1954) Starring Todd Russell was another one I watched. (It included Polka Dottie, Poison Zoomack, and policeman, Mr. Deetle Doodle too.)
Here is one entire show:

children's TV show,)

"Winky Dink and You" (1953-1957) starring Jack Barry was darn good as long as you weren't over eight-years-old. It had a neat thing called the "Magic Drawing Screen", which you placed over your TV screen, that allowed kids to draw things like bridges to get Winky to where he needed to be. (Sadly, my parents never got me the "Magic Drawing Screen".) However, Winky would get there on the TV, even if you didn't have the "Magic Drawing Screen" to help him.
Here's some video of the show:

"Ding Dong School" (1952-1956) starring Frances Honwich (Miss Frances) wasn't my type of show, but my younger brother, Bob, watched it. I believe it came out of Chicago, so maybe FrankC might have seen it.
Here's some video from the show:

"Kukla, Fran, and Ollie" (1947-1954 NBC & 1954-1957 ABC) starring Fran Allison, was another kids' program from my childhood. It was pretty good in its time, if you were a kid. It also had Buelah Witch on some shows.

I can thank these kids' TV shows for giving me a reason to go outside and learn how to play baseball.

p.s. I am sure there are more, and if you old guys can think of some, please feel free to add them to this thread.
