Is there an event (sports or non-sports) that is more over-rated and over-hyped than the NFL draft? Three months of this now. Holy earplugs Batman!!. I cant wait for this event just to have it over with!! If I have to look at Mel Kiper Jr. and that sanctimonious smirk and greasy hair for another minute I might have to resort to a serious surge in alcohol consumption. It's baseball season folks. Plus NBA and NHL playoffs. But the NFL can never take a back seat.

I won't a bit surprised if Rams don't pick OKU QB Sam Bradford and instead pick Cornhusker DT Ndamukong Suh. Mel's now got a foe in Todd McShay on the EPSN broadcast. TCHCNB, if you can get the NFL Network, watch that instead of hearing Kiper's making a jackass of himself.

I told a guy the same thing today, it's overkill if you ask me, but I know there people who can't enough of it.

The Denver Broncos (my team for over 30 years-I still have my Randy Gradishar t-shirt that I wore when I was 5) have to be the biggest laughing stock in the NFL. I usually don't care who they draft as long as they produce, but with Josh McHalfwits they have drafted, the past two years, the only player in each draft that I detested, Knowshon (who names their kid Knowshon, and Tebow. Not only that, but a few years ago they drafted Maurice Clarett, no wonder they suck.

Well, IMO this year's first round was more than a lil unique, in part due to what is likely the first time that two California Golden Bears were picked, and in large part due to the lack of:

Any University Of Southern California Trojan (and, for that matter, any other Pac-10 selection). :o
Any damnable biting irish. :D
And, any eternally damnable columbus suckeye.

Maybe their t-shirt cannon is broke and they needed to pick up someone who can reach the high seats while the game is going on. Well, the middle seats anyway...
He might be the first player to actually model his jersey out at the kiosks while the game is in progress. That's gotta help sales... :D
