Nope, I figured this one out. Once I saw "Loonies", I knew what they were. Both of them
MUST be Canadian money. So there, Mr. Smarty pants, trying to make an old fart look ignorant.
Oddly enough, MUDEE has a coin collection too. However, it's not a collection of coins minted by countries like PENGWN's. It is nothing more than about five hundred video arcade tokens, that he never got around to using before all of the video arcades went out of business. He holds on to them in hopes that some video arcade might move into the vacant space in the mall, where "The Wig Store" used to be.
Here are a few of his favorites:
p.s. Hold on to them, my friend, even if they have no cash value. If you live long enough, some day you will run into an idiot, who thinks they have collector value, and he might offer you big bucks for the whole collection. Now they're his problem, not yours.
p.p.s. When you think about it, 500 tokens that cost you 25 cents each is only $125.00. Hell, that's only what it costs drinking at the bar for about a couple days. Considering that, I've changed my mind. KEEP THEM...! You might find a jeweler, who could turn them into pretty spiffy pairs of cuff links.
