New Scaratings

The older Buzztime entertainment app is being turned off June 30th. This was supposed to happen back in fall of ‘23 but was postponed because of glitches with some devices and the new Buzztime Trivia app.

The email says the new app now has the functionality of the old app. We’ll see, I haven’t tried the new app since last fall when it wasn’t working well.

No GPS with the new app.

Six players are going to be disturbed when they answer all the questions correctly in a Six matching round and get
credited for only three correct answers. That happens fairly often with the new app. On the other hand, you now get to
see all the matching answers on the tablet at the beginning of each matching question.

New app still doesn't recognize my location when I'm at the location I'm playing at. Hope that they get that fixed too.

That sounds like something you will have to bring to Buzztime’s attention. They probably have no idea. What bar is this? Elsa’s Corner Cantina? They may be mapped incorrectly so the app won’t allow logging in to it. Does the bar show up and work fine in the old app?

Yeah, I did before when they were going to turn it off and I will let them know again. Yes, at Elsa's and it only affects the new app. The old app works great. On 5G, it says its like 2.12 miles away and if I log in to the WiFi, then it is .46 miles away. The real funny thing is if I walk to BWs next door, it works fine.

They have disabled the app if you have mock GPS enabled. That is disappointing as I often use mock GPS to log in from my car when I'm on a long road trip and my wife is driving. I guess I can't complain as I recommended on this site a year or so ago that Buzztime should do that. I hate it when ;people listen to me!

4 days into the end of playing remote and there has been no sign of RICECK/THNNOS in IL or LEN/KATHY/MARI in DE/PA or MALALO in MD/DE after the 1st 4 games of LT on Monday when the software caught up to them.

There are many others that I can’t think of at the moment.

The national rankings for LT and CD look way different than last week.

There is a bright side to everything, but I wish they could have waited until the end of the great TV sports drought (between the final whistle of the Stanley Cup playoffs and the opening kick of the NFL season) before they implemented it. LOL

I've found that I can't use the app even at Angry Pepper because apparently once you enable mock GPS on an Android phone you can never disable it.

????!!!! (Try these two first.) Go to developer options and unselect the mock location app. Clear the user data and cache in the Buzztime Trivia app only; you'll have to sign-in again afterwards, (https://www.androidpolice.com/clear-app-cache-data-android/).

Uninstall the mock location app. Disable developer options.

Anyone know what player numbers look like since the old app was switched off? I was trying to poke around and find but the website doesn't say what your rank was and out of how many or anything anymore, just what your rank was for the game, unless it is in a different spot.

I think this is what you want: https://players.buzztime.com/hof-games. If you sign-in under players.buzztime.com. you should be able to get your individual game comparisons.
